What is DropLoc™ Technology?
DropLoc™ is a dropper seatpost technology developed by 9point8™ to meet the need for a simpler, lighter, infinite-adjust dropper post. This technology was first introduced at Interbike in Las Vegas, September 2014, in the 9point8™ Fall Line™ dropper post. The Fall Line dropper post received enthusiastic press at the show, earning a spot on two ‘Best in Show’ lists.
The core of DropLoc™ is a locking element that expands inside the top tube and securely holds the top tube in place. It is released from below, providing the much sought-after ‘stealth’ cable routing through the bicycle frame. Because it is inside the top tube, it is protected from the elements and is well away from trail dirt and grime.
