The correct fore/aft saddle position is critical to rider comfort and control. Since all frames and all riders are not created equal, the industry offers seatposts with inline or offset head geometries, so you can choose the one that is right for you.
Then why are most dropper posts available as ONE OR THE OTHER only? This is lunacy! If I need offset geometry, and I prefer the design and capabilities of a brand ‘X’ dropper post, but it is only offered as inline, I am out of luck. 9point8 seatposts solve this by offering both inline and offset geometries. In fact, any 9point8 FL seatpost can be converted from one to the other! In fact, the Fall Line R post also has a Forward Offset option.
